Diamond Stables and the Meadow River Gorge are approximately 10-minutes
north of the New River Gorge Bridge and the Fayetteville
whitewater-rafting area and 10-minutes south of the Summersville Lake and
Gauley River Gorge recreation area. We're within a four-hour drive of
Charlotte, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Richmond, Louisville, and Winston-Salem
and within a half-day's drive of most of Virginia, North Carolina, South
Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New
Jersey, and Washington, D.C.
From U.S. 19 at the New River Gorge Bridge
From the bridge follow the U.S. 19 expressway approximately 14 miles north
to the Mount Lookout Road exit. Turn right onto Mount Lookout
Road, a paved one-lane route, and continue east 1.6 miles. Our office and
stables are on the right.
From U.S. 19 at Summersville Lake
From the U.S. 19 exit at Summersville Lake (State Route 129), follow U.S.
19 south approximately four miles to Mount Lookout Road. Turn left onto
Mount Lookout Road, a paved one-lane route, and continue east 1.6 miles.
Our office and stables are on the right.
